Does the job!!
Bought this to take with us on a shoot in Switzerland. Worked great at keeping snow/water off the lens during take off and provided a nice grip pad for landing on slippery shallow gradient. We flew in about 70mph gusts at one point and it didn't move. Weighted quite well. Blue side is also harder to pick up on camera which is good if filming towards operators.
Overall impressions: very impressed, worth 90 quid.

Started my own drone business last year, was hard work but plugging away its now starting to pay off, ive upgraded from a P3 to an IS2. Completely different beast the is2, Im used to hand catching the P3 but really don’t fancy doing this with the is2, I mostly work solo so hand catching a drone this size while trying to pilot it is not worth the risk. Ive only managed a few flights so far due to the weather, the mat works well, comes with a carry bag which makes it easier as im still getting used the size and the setup time of the is2. The mat does weigh a little bit but its meant to, so far no complaints.
’ve thought I could get away with a cheap take off mat but the inspire 2 made the edges of the mat flick up which as you can imagine when trying to land is a bit worrying. I bought this because its weighted down around the edges which stops the problem with the prop wash, also means you don’t need to bother staking it into the ground. The mat is a good size, gives you that bit of extra space to land especially on those gusty days or if you have an audience and the pressure is on to try and land bang on the H. Due to the design it’s a little heavier than the cheaper mats but its also double sided orange on one and blue on the other, the blue side actually works pretty well as I never thought I would use it but the orange can blend into the winter browns.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone! What a brilliant product.
